Indian Market: Sensex advances 187 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday rallied by 187 pts to open at 50,727.28

as buying was seen in Finance, Health Care, Industrials and IT stocks.

The Nifty too rose by 34.20 pts to 15,209.50.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 50,855.32 and 49,465.90 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 15,251.90 and 15,145.45 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.59 pc and Small Cap by 0.65 pc.

In 30 scrips, 15 advanced while 15 declined.

The gainers were SBI by 2.49 pc to Rs 411.10, followed by L& T by 2.01 pc to Rs 1447.05, Maruti Suzuki by 1.52 pc to Rs 6915, Powergrid by 1.47 pc to Rs 231.45 and Tech Mahindra by 1.06 pc to Rs 990.60.

The losers were Titan by 1.95 pc to Rs 1509.20, ONGC by 1.46 pc to Rs 111.05, Hind Unilever by 0.95 pc to Rs 2338.20 and Ultracemco by 0.95 pc to Rs 6574.40.
