Jammu and Kashmir: Progress under KCC reviewed at Shopian

Srinagar: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today chaired a meetingof concerned officers to review the progress made under Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme. 

During the meeting, the DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to work in close coordination fortimely completion of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) cases so that the beneficiaries are able to take benefit ofvarious farm-welfare schemes envisaged by the government from time to time.

He directed Assistant Commissioner Revenue and SDM, Zainapora besides other concerned of thedistrict to ensure that all farmers are covered under KCC Scheme. 

Lead Bank Manager was directed to ensure that all the branches are disposing of farmers loanapplications available within a stipulated time frame so that a substantial credit is approved anddisbursed under the scheme. 
The DDC interacted with the officers and enquired about the implementation of programmesundertaken by them for farmers welfare. 

It was informed that out of 36446 beneficiaries in the district 24495 beneficiaries are availing KCC facilityand the progress is on to achieve cent percent coverage under KCC for which field functionaries areworking with dedication.Among others, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDM, Zainapora, Lead Bank Manager and otherconcerned attended the meeting.
