DLitt for Author, Communicator Mahul Brahma

Kolkata/IBNS: Author, editor, luxury commentator and communications expert Dr Mahul Brahma has been conferred Doctor of Letters or DLitt (honoris causa) by a US university for his contributions towards luxury and communications.

Dr Brahma said, “This is a postdoctoral recognition of my two decades of writings in the form of news articles, columns and books. I am humbled.” The honour was conferred by California Public University.

Dr Brahma is a luxury commentator and columnist. He has authored five books, which includes the luxe trilogy comprising “Decoding Luxe”, “Dark Luxe” and “Luxe Inferno”. He is also a TEDx speaker on inclusivity and mythic value of luxury.

His latest book “How to Communicate Strategically in Corporate World”, a manual for corporate leaders and CXOs, was published last month. The books have received appreciation from the likes of Ratan Tata, Amitabh Bachchan and Bibek Debroy.

Dr Brahma is Chief Editor and Head of CSR, Corporate Communications, Branding, Publications at mjunction, a JV between Tata Steel and SAIL. He has won several nation-level awards in communication.

Dr Brahma is a PhD in Economics and an alumnus of IIM Calcutta, University of Cambridge Judge Business School, MICA, SSSUTMS, and University of Calcutta.

He loves to act, make films, paint and play golf. His first short film was screened at Cannes Film Festival.
