Mumbai/UNI: Powergrid on Wednesday surged by 4.64 pc to Rs 164.50 a major gainer in 30 scrips of BSE.

Other gainers were Bharti Airtel by 3.54 pc to Rs 419.20, Tata Steel by 3.04 pc to Rs 403.90, NTPC by 2.11 pc to Rs 82.30 and HDFC Bank by 1.87 pc to Rs 1247.05.

The losers were Nestle India by 1.54 pc to Rs 16,002, Reliance Industries by 1.50 pc to Rs 2123.25, HCL Technologies by 1.06 pc to Rs 870.70, Bajaj finance by 0.88 pc to Rs 3233.25 and Bajaj Finserv by 0.75 pc to Rs 5905.90.
