Indian Rupee down 22 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Tuesday dropped by 22 paise to settle at 75.41 on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit that slipped by 14 paise to 75.33 in opening trade further lost by 22 paise to end negative at 75.41 as compared to its last close.
The rupee registered intra days high and low at 75.45 and 74.29 respectively, he added.
The Rupee tumbled down because of firm Dollar against other world currencies , amid sliding equity market today, they added.
