Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Tuesday tumbled down by 26 paise to end negative at 74.93 against the US Dollar on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The domestic unit that eased by three paise in early trade, further lost by 26 paise to settle at 74.93 as compared to its last close.

The Rupee registered intra days high and low at 74.97 and 74.65 respectively, they further said.

The Rupee remained under pressure because of firm Dollar against other world currencies amid robust strong equity market, they added.
