Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Tuesday rose six paise to 75.55 against the US Dollar on selling of American currency by bankers and exporters, dealers at the forex market said.

The local unit moved up 12 paise to 75.49 in opening trade.

Finally, it closed at 75.55, rising six paise as compared to its previous close.

The domestic unit registered intra-day high and low at 75.60 and 75.44 respectively.

The local unit gained because of weak Dollar against other world currencies amid rebounding stock market, the dealers added.
