Srinagar, May 2 (IBNS): ICICI Bank inaugurated a new branch at Ferozpora in Tangmarg town of Baramulla district, Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday.

This is the bank's first branch at Ferozpora, a locality of 1,500 households.

Shabir Hussain, sub-divisional magistrate of Tangmarg, inaugurated the branch.

Speaking on the occasion, Hussain said: “Overwhelmed to see a world class private bank coming to this rural area for providing the banking facility. With this not only the local population will get a feel of world class service but also will enhance the tourism driven segments since majority of villagers are involved in tourism trade at Gulmarg.”

The branch will remain open from 10am to 4pm on Monday to Friday as well as on the first, third and fifth Saturdays of the month.

The branch will offer a comprehensive range of accounts, deposits including savings and current accounts, term deposits and various loans including auto, personal and credit cards. Further, the branch will conduct financial literacy camps along with mobile and internet banking demonstrations as part of its financial literacy campaign.

ICICI Bank services its large customer base through a multi-channel delivery network of branches and ATMs, phone banking, internet banking and mobile banking. It has nearly 40 branches and 65 ATMs in Jammu & Kashmir.
