US service member killed in Afghanistan

Kabul, Sept 17 (IBNS):  A U.S. service member was killed in action on Monday, officials said.

The NATO-led Resolute Support Mission confirmed the issue.

" In accordance with U.S. Department of Defense policy, the name of the service member is being withheld until 24 hours after family notification is complete," read the statement.

More details are awaited.
