Afghanistan/UNI/Sputnik: The leader of Taliban, Hibatullah Akhundzada, forbade to make accusations against government officials without sufficient evidence, media reported.

Unsubstantiated accusations are considered lies and deserve punishment, the TOLOnews broadcaster reported on Thursday, noting that the decree is mandatory for all citizens and media organizations.

In mid-August, the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan. In early September, the group set up a new government, led by Mohammad Hasan Akhund, who served as the foreign minister during the previous Taliban rule and has been under UN sanctions since 2001.
