Police officials told Dawn News that Naib Tehsildar Sher Dil was travelling to his native village, Khatan, along with his family when armed men opened fire on his vehicle.

According to police, unknown attackers launched the assault when Sher Dil’s vehicle reached near Khatan. The official sustained multiple bullet injuries in the attack.

He was immediately rushed to the district hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
