Pakistani leader slams Imran Khan govt over Kashmir policy

| @indiablooms | Aug 20, 2020, at 05:20 am

Peshawar: Right-wing Pakistani politician and president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, has attacked PM Imran Khan-led administration for their inefficiency in handling the Kashmir issue and the policies framed for the region.

Addressing his supporters in Peshawar recently, he attacked Khan for failing to counter India on Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 last year.

"India revoked Kashmir's special status and tactically announced the region as its integral part and we were pushed downwards. What were we thinking yesterday and what are we thinking today? Yesterday, we were thinking how to take Srinagar, today we are thinking as to how to save Muzaffarabad," Maulana was quoted as saying by ANI while adding that Pakistan can no longer function under the incumbent government

Maulana also vowed to continue the fight against what he termed a "dictatorial" regime, saying that the party is determined to establish the supremacy of the law and Constitution in the country.

India on Aug 5 observed the first anniversary of scrapping the Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
