A Pakistani father has allegedly gunned down her daughter after she refused to delete her account on the popular video-sharing app TikTok.

According to the police, the family of a 9thclass student, who died on Tuesday, claimed that her death was a result of suicide, but after the police launched an investigation, it turned out to be a case of murder which resulted over a dispute on TikTok use, reported Dawn News.

The father reportedly escaped from the scene after shooting down his daughter.

He was later detained.

A murder case has been lodged against him.

In the FIR, the police official said he was on duty on Wednesday when he received information that a man, who was a resident of Dhoke Chaudhrian, had killed his daughter after she refused to delete her TikTok account, reported Dawn News.

A police spokesman told the newspaper that the postmortem of the body had been conducted.

He said evidence has been collected from the scene of the crime.
