Pakistan: Three transgender people wounded in knife attack

Peshawar, Aug 3 (IBNS): Three transgenders were hurt when they were attacked by unknown people with knife in Pakistan's Peshawar city, media reports said on Friday.

The incident occurred in Sarband area of the city.

Police told Geo News that the injured transgender people were shifted to a hospital, where they were provided first aid.

According to reports, the injured transgenders are said to be out of danger.

The members of the transgender community told Geo News that they were attacked when they were going to invite more transgenders to a private ceremony. 

Police have registered a case and started an investigation into the incident.
