Pakistan: Bus falls into deep gorge, kills 17

Islamabad, Oct 29 (IBNS): At least 17 people were killed as a passenger bus fell into a deep gorge on Sunday evening while travelling on the Karakoram Highway in Kohistan's Lotar area of Pakistan, media reports said.

The bus was on its way from Rawalpindi from Gilgit Baltistan's Ghizer area when the mishap occurred, reports said.

Police officials have reached the spot of the mishap.

The police official told Dawn News TV that due to the non-availability of any mobile network they were facing communication problems.

One woman was reportedly hurt in the mishap.

The exact cause of the accident is not known.
