Pakistan: Ban condemns suicide bombing near polio eradication centre in Quetta

New York, Jan 14 (Just Earth News/IBNS): United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned Wednesday's suicide bombing close to the premises of a polio eradication centre in Quetta, Pakistan, reportedly killing at least 15 people, and wounding 25 others.

“The Secretary-General reiterates that nothing justifies terrorism,” according to a statement issued by a UN spokesperson, in which Ban urges the Government of Pakistan to take all necessary measures to swiftly bring to justice the perpetrators of such attacks.

The UN chief also extended his condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery. He expressed his sympathies to the people and Government of Pakistan.
