Pakistan: Armed people kidnap two tourists in Balochistan

Islamabad: Armed people kidnapped two tourists from Balochistan region of Pakistan recently.

The abducted people included a government officer.

Sources told The Express Tribune that the armed men picked up the two tourists from the Warchom area of the district, however, they left their family members. The kidnapped tourists were from Karachi and visiting the town on the eve of Eidul Azha.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Quddus Bizenjo took a notice of the incident and directed the police and administration to ensure the safe recovery of the tourists.

The CM also asked authorities to submit a detailed report of the incident.

The incident prompted the local tribesmen to block roads as protest against the kidnapping, the newspaper reported.
