Kabul: Australian woman kidnapped?

Kabul, Nov 6 (IBNS): An Australian woman, who was working for a non-governmental organisation in Afghanistan, has been suspected to be abducted in Kabul on Saturday, media reports said on Sunday.

The Australian Embassy in Kabul is making urgent inquiries into the reported kidnapping, a spokeswoman for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade was quoted as saying in a statement as reported by CNN.

"Due to the nature of the incident we will not be commenting further," read the statement.

The woman was reportedly kidnapped from Qala e Fatullah area  in the city.
