Ferry sinks in Bangladesh, many feared dead

Dhaka, Aug 4 (IBNS) At least 90 people are feared to have been killed as the ferry in which they were traveling capsized in the Padma river near Lauhajang upazila in Bangaldesh on Monday,media reports said.

Double-decker Pinak-6 was carrying around 200 people.

The mishap at around 11 am when  it was going to Mawa Ghat from Kawrakandi terminal.

"According to our latest report, 92 people remain missing," Shamsuddoha Khandakar, chairman of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority, told The Daily Star.

Rescue operations continued to find the missing passengers.
