Crashed Lion Air jet's cockpit voice recorder found

Jakarta, Jan 14 (IBNS): The cockpit voice recorder of the Lion Air plane that had crashed into Java Sea in October killing all the 189 people on board has been found, media reports said.

A deputy minister, Ridwan Djamaluddin, said on Monday that the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) had informed the government about the discovery. Human remains have also been found in the seabed.

The two-month old Boeing 737 MAX 8 jet had plunged into the sea minutes after take off from Jakarta on October 29.

The pilot of the crashed flight was an Indian national.

He was identified as Bhavye Suneja.
