Casino links: Jubo League expels Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan

Dhaka, Sept 20 (IBNS): Jubo League, the youth front of the ruling Awami League, has expelled its leader Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan, after he was arrested for allegedly running an illegal casino in Bangladesh capital city Dhaka, media reports said.

"The central committee of Jubo League took the decision as several allegations were recently received against Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan," Jubo League General Secretary Harunur Rashid told bdnews24 on Friday. 

The expelled leader was the organising secretary of the political wing.

“Khaled has been expelled. The next decision will be made later,” said Rashid 

RAB officials arrested Khaled from his residence on Wednesday.

It also seized 585 yaba tablets, a large cache of foreign currencies and illegal weapons from his home and large quantities of alcohol, gambling equipment and Tk 2.4 million from the club, reported bdnews24.
