Montreal, Apr 2 (IBNS): A Montreal man has been arrested after a decomposed body of an elderly woman was found at an apartment, media reports said.

The watchman of the apartment discovered the body, which has been badly decomposed.

The watchman found the body while he went to do some repairing works.

The police said the decomposed body is the mother of the man, who has been arrested.

However, the police could not identify the dead woman who has been badly decomposed.

A large forensic team is handling the case, CTV News reported.

The police said an autopsy would state for how long the woman had died and also state the cause of her death.
