| @indiablooms | Nov 27, 2023, at 03:42 pm

At least three people were killed and two others injured in a shooting occurred in Canada's Winnipeg city on Sunday.

Police were called to the 100 block of Langside just after 4 a.m. for a report of multiple injuries, public information officer Const. Jason Michalyshen told reporters as quoted by CBC News at a news conference outside police headquarters.

A man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene, and another three victims — two men and a woman — were rushed to hospital in critical condition, Michalyshen said.

The identities of the victims are still not known.

The Homicide Unit continues to investigate.

The Winnipeg Police Service Forensic Services Unit will be on the scene for an extended period due to the gravity of this incident.
