Canada: 29 people hospitalised in B.C.'s Coquihalla highway

Victoria, Feb 26 (IBNS): At least 29 people have been hospitalised in a crash which took place in British Columbia's Coquihalla Highway on Sunday evening, media reports said.

Around 136 people were sent to the warming centres in the local area.

Two coach buses, two semi-trucks and two passenger vehicles have collided on the highway at 8 p.m. on Sunday, report said.

One person was trapped in a vehicle and he was sent to hospital in a critical condition.

Officials had shut down the highway overnight.
