Bangladesh: Jamaat-e-Islami arrested by police

Chittagong/IBNS: A Jamaat-e-Islami has been arrested by the police in Bangladesh's Chittagong city, media reports said on Saturday.

He was arrested on charges of sabotage.
 
He was identified as Abul Mansur.
 
According to local media reports, he was the leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami Bakalia unit.
 
Confirming the arrest, Md Nejam Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bakalia police station told Dhaka Tribune that the Jamaat leader is accused in five sabotage cases filed with Bakalia police station.
