Afghanistan: Suicide bomber targets election campaign in Nangarhar, detonates explosives to kill at least 13

Kabul, Oct 2 (IBNS): At least 13 people were killed as a suicide bomber detonated his explosives at an election campaign rally of a parliamentary candidate in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Tuesday afternoon, media reports said.

The incident left 30 others injured.

Local officials told Tolo News of Afghanistan that the incident took place in Kama district where a candidate, Nasir Mohmand, was hosting dozens of people to explain his plans.  

The provincial public health director Najibullah Kamawal told the Afghanistan-based newsportal that at least 13 people were killed and 30 others were wounded in the explosion.  

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
