Afghanistan suicide attack: 27 killed

Kabul, Nov 21 (IBNS): A suicide bombing at a religious ceremony in the sixth police district of Kabul city in Afghanistan left at least 27 people killed on Monday, media reports said.

The attack left 35 others injured.

The crime branch chief for 101st Kabul Asmayee Police Zone, Col. Faridoon Obaidi, told Afghanistan's Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place at a Shiite mosque, Baqir Al-Uloom, in Chahar Dehi area at around 12:20pm.

A religious ceremony of Shiite worshippers was taking place when the incident occurred.

Several police vehicles raced from the scene, ferrying the wounded to hospital.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
