Afghanistan: Security forces kill 70 Taliban militants in past 5 days

Kabul, Jun 24 (UNI) At least 70 Taliban militants were killed while 23 others sustained injuries in a five-day joint operation launched by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces in Balabulok district of Farah province.

"In order to remove security threats and ensure better security to the people, as result enemy’s suffered heavy causalities." Aghan ministry of defence said in a statement on Monday.


Around 25 vehicles and motorbikes, 61 barrel of IED, 7 bags of explosives, 1 RPG, several depots of weapon and ammunition were destroyed and areas cordoned off.


In the statement, The Afghan national Army vowed to eradicate all terror groups from Afghanistan and assured people of bringing lasting peace and security in the region.
