Afghanistan: Car bombing kills seven in central Maidan Wardak province

Kabul, Oct 27 (IBNS): A car bombing incident in Afghanistan's central Maidan Wardak province on Saturday left at least seven people killed, media reports said.

The incident left 37 others hurt.

The injured people have been rushed to hospital for treatment.

Police spokesman Hekmat Durrani told Pajhwok Afghan News the bombing took place through Saracha type vehicle in Maidan Shahr City at around 7:30am. 

The Kabul-Kandahar highway was closed after the bombing.

However, it was later opened for traffic.

The Taliban group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the group’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News dozens of security forces were killed and wounded in the attack.
