London, Jun 11 (IBNS): In a blow to the men-in-blue in the World Cup, Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out for three weeks owing to his thumb fracture, media reports said.

Dhawan is one of the two Indian batsmen who scored at least a century so far in the World Cup.

The south-paw scored a confident 117 runs in India's second match against Australia on Sunday.

India have won both their opening games in the tournament.

India's next match is against New Zealand on Thursday.
