Virat Kohli still needs to work on his captaincy: Afridi

New Delhi, Nov 23 (IBNS): Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi feels that Indian skipper Virat Kohli needs to still work on his 'captaincy' skills.

Afridi said he still considers ex-skipper MS Dhoni as the 'best'.

However, Afridi said he considers Kohli as his favourite batsman.

Speaking to NDTV, Afridi, who had also served as the skipper of the Pakistani cricket side for several years in his playing career, said: "As a player Virat Kohli is my favourite but he needs to work on his captaincy because for me Dhoni is still the best."

Afridi said Indian batsmen should step up if they wish to win in Australia.

India are currently touring Australia. The T20 series is currently going on.

"Australian pitches are not the same any more the ball bounces but it is easier to hit runs so India can win if they bat well in Australia," Afridi sad.

India is touring Australia after completing a major home series victory against West Indies.

India beat the Caribbean in Test, ODI and T20 series.
