Vinesh Phogat and Sumit clinch CWG gold medals in wrestling

Gold Coast, Apr 14 (IBNS): Indian wrestler continued their dominance at the ongoign Commonwealth Games as Vinesh Phogat and Sumit won golf medal in their respective categories here on Saturday.

Vinesh defeated Canada’s Jessica Macdonald with a 13-3 scoreline as she defended her title that she won in Glasgow.

Sumit, on the other hand, got a walkover win.

It was after the opponent did not turn up for the game due to injury that Sumit was declared the winner of the match.

Rio Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik won the bronze medal, adding one more medal to India's overall medals tally.

Another Indian hope Somveer  also won bronze by beating Canada's Alexander Moore 7-3.
