Birmingham/Mumbai, July 1 (IBNS): In another blow to the Indian cricket team, cricketer Vijay Shankar has been ruled out of the Cricket World Cup 2019 due to toe injury, media reports said.

Mayank Agarwal is likely to be called to replace Shankar, who missed the match against England on Sunday.

Earlier Shikhar Dhawan was ruled out of the tournament due to thumb fracture. Dhawan has been replaced by Rishabh Pant, who played his first World Cup match on Sunday.

Also pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is suffering from niggles.

India have so far won five out of six matches they have played so far. The men-in-blue will be up against Bangladesh on Tuesday.
