Tillakaratne Dilshan completes 10,000 runs in ODI

Hambantota, July 26 (IBNS): Sri Lankan batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan completed 10,000 runs in ODIs during his country's match against Pakistan here on Sunday.

He became the 11th player and the fourth Sri Lankan to touch the feat.

Dilshan scored 62 runs in the match before  being run out after playing the 70-ball knock.

Kumar Sangakkara, Sanath Jayasuriya and Mahela Jayawardene had earlier touched the feat for the Asian side.

Former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar tops the chart with 18426 runs in ODI.

He is followed by   Sangakkara with 14234 runs.

38-year-old Dilshan has played 319 ODI matches.
