Sourav Ganguly says Instagram account fake, urges people to not take quotes from it

London, Aug 7 (IBNS): Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has urged people to not use any quoted from an Instagram account attributed to him, citing it as fake.

The said account, however, has been taken down following a formal complaint by Ganguly.

He took to Twitter to clear the air, after several posts regarding present Indian captain Virat Kohli on the said Instagram account, did the rounds.

"My Instagram page is a fake one ..please don’t pick up any news or quotes from it ..Will report to Instagram immediately @samiprajguru @imVkohli," Ganguly said.

Some of the posts on the now defunct account praised Kohli, while some were critical of his team choices.

A few posts were also aimed at Indian opening batsman Murali Vijay and Virat's deputy in the longer format, Ajinkya Rahane.

Both the batsmen have failed to perform in the first Test, which India lost by 30-odd runs at Edgbaston, giving hosts England a 1-0 lead in the 5-match series.
