Somdev Devvarman makes winning return to Competitive Tennis

Kolkata/IBNS: Former Davis Cupper and top Indian tennis player Somdev Devvarman makes a winning return to competitive tennis when he won both the singles matches he played in the Premjit Lal Tennis Tournament organised by Jaidip Mukerjea Tennis Academy here Thursday.

After defeating veteran V M  Ranjit of team Premjit Lal in the morning session of the meet, Somdev, who earlier retired from competitive tennis in 2017  but returns to competitive tennis representing Team Jaidip Mukerjea, beat promising youngster Aryan Goveas of Team Ramanathan Krishnan,

Earlier Mayor of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation Krishna Chakraborty inaugurated the tournament in presence of State Security advisor  Surajit Kar Purakayastha, ADG Law and Order Gyanwant Singh and Commissioner Bidhannagar Police L M Meena.
