Karachi/UNI: Pakistan interim head coach Saqlain Mushtaq on Monday stepped down from his role.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) set to appoint a foreign coach.

He was appointed as the interim head coach after Misbah-ul-Haq resigned for his post in September last year.

"I discussed the future of Pakistan’s team, its management with Saqlain, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan; and the general opinion is about the inclusion of a foreign coach in the Pakistan team environment," PCB chief Ramiz Raja was quoted as saying by Geo News.

Saqlain served as Pakistan coach in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Pakistan tour of Bangladesh and home series against West Indies.
