Rohit Sharma's India beat West Indies by six wickets, take 1-0 lead in ODI series

Ahmedabad: India dominated the show and defeated West Indies by six wickets in the first ODI to take the lead in the series here on Sunday.

After bowling out West Indies at 176 runs, India reached 178 runs by losing four wickets with 132 balls to spare.

Suryakumar Yadav (34*) and Deepak Hooda (26*) remained unbeaten till the end to reach the target.

Skipper Rohit Sharma gave India a start by scoring 60 runs with his willow.

Ishan Kishan , who opened the innings for India, added 28 runs.

Virat Kohli failed to contribute much with the willow as he lost his wicket at 8 runs.

Alzarri Joseph picked up two wickets for West Indies.

Earlier, riding on Washington Sundar's three wickets and Yuzvendra Chahal picking up four, India bowled out West Indies for 176 runs.

Experienced Jason Holder remained the top scorer for West Indies with his well played knock of 57 runs.
