Not thinking about coaching right now: Sourav Ganguly

Kolkata: Coaching Indian team is not in his thinking right at the moment, former India captain Sourav Ganguly said.

Asked  whether he would like to coach the Indian team, Ganguly, who was addressing a function to announce the date of  forthcoming Tata Steel 25 K Run here Monday night, said there is no reason to think it about now.

“One person is working as the Indian coach. Let him complete his term. There is no reason to think about it now”, the famous south paw said. 

Ganguly, a big supporter of women empowerment in various fields of sports in the country, also praised the women cricketers in the state.

He specially praised Jhulan Goswami, the highest wicket taker in One Day Internationals (ODIs) in the world and the senior and junior players of Bengal who have done very well in the national tournaments last season.

After the World Cup 2019, former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri has been selected once again as the head coach of the national side.
