Kings XI Punjab beat Delhi by four runs

New Delhi, Apr 24 (IBNS): Kings XI Punjab managed to script another victory by beating Delhi Daredevils by four runs in an IPL match here on Monday.

Kings batted first and posted 143 runs for the loss of eight wickets and then restricted the opponents at 138 for eight in a tight contested match.

Karun Nair remained the top scorer for Kings with his 34 runs knock.

He smashed  four boundaries in his innings.

English pacer Liam Plunkett picked up three wickets for Delhi.

Later, despite

Shreyas Iyer's heroic 57 runs knock, Delhi could not manage to reach the target of 144 runs.

Kings bowlers kept themselves composed to grab a victory.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Tye and Rajpoot picked up two wickets each for Kings.

R Ashwin, skipper of Kings, bowled an economical spell where he gave away just 19 runs in his four overs without any success.
