India, Windies begin Test Championship journey today

| @indiablooms | Aug 22, 2019, at 01:33 pm

Antigua: India and Windies will begin their Test Championship journey on Thursday with their first of the two Test matches at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium here.

This will be the first Test series for both the teams since the conclusion of the World Cup 2019.

India are brimming with confidence after they registered an easy win over Windies in both T20 and One Day International (ODI) series.

However, India will not have Prithvi Shaw as an opener in the match. The young batsman is presently serving a doping ban.

Mayank Agarwal is expected to open India's innings along with KL Rahul.

Also players from both the sides will have jersey numbers on their back for the first time.
