India will not travel to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023: BCCI

| @indiablooms | Oct 18, 2022, at 09:05 pm

Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that India will not travel to Pakistan for next year's Asia Cup.

The decision was taken at the BCCI Annual General Meeting (AGM) held here on Tuesday.

India will demand to move next year's continental tournament to a neutral venue.

"Neutral venue for Asia Cup is not unprecedented and we have decided that we will not travel to Pakistan," Cricbuzz quoted Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI and president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

The 2023 Asia Cup in Pakistan will mark the return of a major cricketing tournament to the Asian nation after over two decades.
