India put up disciplined performance as Virat Kohli and his men beat England to clinch series 3-2

Ahmedabad: Indian maintained form and defeated England in the fifth T20 match of the series by 36 runs to clinch the game and the tournament here on Saturday.

After posting a mammoth 224 runs for the loss of two wickets, Indian bowlers bowled tight and smart to restrict England to 188 runs for eight.

India clinched the series 3-2 with this victory. India also won two consecutive match to bag the series.

Shardul Thakur bagged three wickets while Bhuvaneshwar Kumar clinched two.

T Natarajan and Hardik Pandya scalped one each.

Dawid Malan (68) remained the top scorer for the visitors.

Jos Buttler added 52 runs. However, the dismissal of the two batsmen ended British hopes of winning the match.

Earlier, riding on Virat Kohli's unbeaten 80 runs, India reached 224 runs.
