India drop to 103 in latest FIFA rankings

New Delhi, July 25 (UNI): The Indian Football team dropped by two places to 103rd in the July 2019 edition of the FIFA rankings released on Thursday.

The Indian national team were last in action in the Intercontinental Cup 2019 in July where Igor Stimac's side lost 4-2 against Tajikistan (119) and 5-2 against DPR Korea (118) before registering a 1-1 draw against Syria (87).

Belgium leads the chart, followed by Brazil, France, England and Uruguay.

With 1,214 points in the FIFA rankings, down by five points from the previous chart issued last month, the Indian team now lies 18th among Asian countries. Iran (23rd) is at the top among Asian countries, followed by Japan (33), Korea (37), Australia (46) and Qatar (62).
