Hardik Pandya slams pitches used in T20I series against New Zealand

| @indiablooms | Jan 30, 2023, at 06:12 pm

India's T20 skipper Hardik Pandya is not at all impressed with the kind of pitches used in the first two T20I matches against New Zealand in the ongoing series.

Speaking to the reporters, Pandya said, "I am all up for that, but these two wickets were not made for T20. Somewhere down the line the curators or the grounds that we are going to play in should make sure they prepare the pitches earlier.

"Other than that, happy. Even 120 would have been a winning total."

After restricting New Zealand to 99/8 in 20 overs in the second T20I on Sunday, India waited till the penultimate ball of the match to hit the winning runs.

In reply to the 100-run target set by the Kiwis, India scored 101/4 in 19.5 overs.

With the win, India have now levelled the three-match series with the last game to be played on Wednesday.
