Former WWE superstar Ashley Massaro dies

Washington, May 17 (IBNS): Former World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler Ashley Massaro died on Saturday, the organization confirmed on Friday.

She was 39.

"We are saddened to learn of the tragic death of former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro," WWE said in a statement.

It said: "She performed in WWE from 2005-2008 and was beloved by her fellow Superstars and fans around the world.WWE offers its condolences to Ashley’s family and friends."

As per TMZ report, Massaro was transported from her home in Suffolk County, NY to a nearby hospital where she died early Thursday morning.

Officials told TMZ that they would not reveal the cause of death at this point, but we're told it's being classified as "non-criminal."
