Kolkata/Nottingham, Jun 19 (IBNS): The record One Day International (ODI) total scored by England against Australia has scared former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly.

Creating world record, England scored 481/6 in 50 overs at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Tuesday.

Ganguly tweeted, "Too see almost 500 runs scored in 50 overs in england is scaring me ..about the health of the game and where it’s going..Australian bowling getting treated this way whatever the conditions may be is not acceptable..A country of lillee, thompson, benaud."

Jonny Bairstow (139) and Alex Hales (147) were the top scorers for England.

England captain Eoin Morgan scored 67 off 30 balls lower down the batting order.

Jhye Richardson picked three wickets for Australia. He conceded 92 runs in 10 overs.
