Denmark manages 1-0 victory over Peru

| @indiablooms | Jun 17, 2018, at 08:39 am

Saransk, June 17 (IBNS): Denmark managed to earn a hard-fought victory against Peru in a World Cup match here on Saturday.

Peru earlier missed a penalty which cost them the match eventually.

Following consultation with video assistant referee Peru were handed a spot-kick but  Christian Cueva shot over the cross bar, missing to score a goal.

Peru was playing much better in the first half of the game and kept Danish danger man Christian Eriksen under wraps for major portion of the first half of the game.

Utilising the situation and not giving another chance to Peru to comeback into the match,  Yussuf Poulsen scored the match-winning goal in the 59th minute of the game.
