Dale Steyn takes his 400th wicket in Tests

Mirpur, July 30 (IBNS): South African pacer Dale Steyn on Thursday took his 400th wicket in Test cricket during a match against Bangladesh.

In terms of balls bowled, the pacer has become the fastest bowler to touch the feat.

He touched the achievement by taking up the wicket of Tamim Iqbal.

In terms of match played, he is  joint second quickest to 400 wickets along with Sir Richard Hadlee of New Zealand.

On the same day, Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson took 300 Test wickets as he showed  Jonny Bairstow the door towards the pavilion during the third Ashes Test.

He moved his statistics to 301 wickets by dismissing Ben Stokes, two balls later.
