Chase, Holder recover West Indies innings after initial jolts, end the day at 295/7

Hyderabad, Oct 12 (IBNS): Riding on Roston Chase and skipper Jason Holder's brilliant half-centuries, West Indies recovered from an initial jolt to end the first day's play at 295 runs for the loss of seven wickets here on Friday.

West Indies were struggling at 6/182 when Chase (98*) and Holder (52)'s knocks recovered them from the position.

Holder was dismissed by Umesh Yadav to add some pressure to the West Indies innings that was slowly moving towards developing a handsome score on the board.

Chase (98 not out) and tailender Devendra Bishoo (2 not out) remained unbeaten at the end of the day.

Chase and Holder added 104 runs in the seventh wicket partnership.

Kuldeep Yadav (3/74), Umesh Yadav (3/83) shined with the ball for India.

India are leading the series 1-0.
